HP Tuners GM E90/E93 ECM Service (Global B)

HP Tuners' one-time send-in upgrade service for GM Global B E90 and E93 ECMs. This service is required to enable HP Tuners diagnostics and custom tuning access through VCM Suite on supported E90/E93-equipped Global B vehicles.

This is a send-in service. The vehicle's original E90 or E93 ECM must be removed and shipped to HP Tuners for upgrading. A spare ECM should not be temporarily installed and relearned while the original controller is away for service.

• 2021–2025 GMC Yukon / Yukon XL 5.3L / 6.2L
• 2021–2025 Cadillac Escalade 6.2L
• 2026 model-year vehicles equipped with the E90 ECM

E93 ECM (Global B)

• 2024–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 6.6L L8T
• 2024–2026 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L L8T

What You Need

1. This one-time GM E90/E93 ECM Service (Global B).
2. The latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite BETA.
3. The required HP Tuners Universal Credits to license the ECM/vehicle. Credits are sold separately.
4. An MPVI3 or newer device. The latest-generation HP Tuners MPVI4 is available here.

MPVI2 and MPVI2+ devices are not compatible with E90/E93 Global B support.

Service Notes

• The original ECM must return to the same vehicle it came from.
• Do not temporarily install and relearn a spare ECM while the original ECM is away for service.
• No IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or Replace ECM function is required when the upgraded original ECM is reinstalled in the same vehicle.
• Once upgraded, calibration, scanning, and data logging are performed through the OBDII port using compatible HP Tuners hardware and VCM Suite.
• Dealer diagnostic tools and VCM Scanner continue to function normally.
• The latest VCM Suite can return the ECM to stock calibration and/or update it to the latest stock calibration.
• HP Tuners recommends reading and clearing DTCs with the latest VCM Scanner after reinstalling the upgraded ECM.
• Processing time does not include shipping time and varies with HP Tuners' current controller-service workload.

How It Works

Step 1: Confirm that your vehicle is supported and purchase this service.

Step 2: Download and complete the HP Tuners Controller Upgrade Service Shipping Form and place it inside the package.

Step 3: Remove the original E90 or E93 ECM and package it securely.

Step 4: Write your order number clearly on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship the ECM to HP Tuners using the carrier of your choice. Shipping to HP Tuners is the customer's responsibility.

Step 6: HP Tuners upgrades the ECM and returns it after service.

Step 7: Reinstall the upgraded ECM, license it with the required Universal Credits, and begin tuning with compatible HP Tuners hardware and VCM Suite BETA.

Customers are responsible for inbound shipping to HP Tuners. The shipping charge associated with the service covers return shipment after the controller has been upgraded.

Important

Controller services are performed at the owner's risk. In some cases the vehicle may require dealer-level resynchronization after service. Due to the factory location of these ECMs, normal cosmetic wear and weathering may be present.
