HP Tuners GM E90/E93 ECM Services

HP Tuners offers upgrade and purchase options for non-Global B E90 and E93 ECMs found in select Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra applications. These services prepare the ECM for full calibration, scanning, and data logging through the OBDII port using HP Tuners VCM Suite.

Supported Applications

• E90 ECM: 2019–2022 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L / 6.2L V8 (L84/L87), pre-facelift, non-Global B
• E93 ECM: 2020–2023 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L L8T, plus supported 2021.5 Silverado/Sierra 1500 5.3L applications

Note: Only supported 2019–2022 E90 ECMs are accepted. Supported service numbers include 12690388, 12703685, 12711852, and 12725132.

Service Options

ECM Purchase

Purchase a new E90 or E93 ECM that has already been upgraded for HP Tuners support. Your vehicle VIN must be included with the order. After installation, follow HP Tuners' required installation procedure.

• Licensing requirement: 6 Universal Credits, sold separately

ECM Upgrade

Send your original E90 or E93 ECM to HP Tuners for upgrading. Once returned, the upgraded original controller provides calibration, logging, and scanning access through the OBDII port.

• E90/E93 ECM Upgrade Service: $299.99
• Licensing requirement: 6 Universal Credits, sold separately
• No IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or Replace ECM procedure is required when the upgraded original ECM returns to the same vehicle.

Universal Credits are not included. Purchase the required HP Tuners Universal Credits separately.

Compatibility & Requirements

• These services apply to non-Global B E90/E93 controllers.
• Use the latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite BETA.
• Compatible interfaces include MPVI2, MPVI2+, MPVI3, and the latest-generation HP Tuners MPVI4.
• Each upgraded or purchased ECM requires 6 Universal Credits for licensing.
• No other tuning or calibration tools, including dealer reflash tools, can be used to calibrate the modified ECM.
• VCM Scanner and compatible diagnostic tools continue to function normally.
• The latest VCM Suite can return the ECM to stock calibration and/or update it to the latest stock calibration.
• The E93 ECM is supported on Tune Delivery Network (TDN).

Customers are responsible for inbound shipping to HP Tuners. Return shipping is covered by the shipping charge associated with the service. Processing time does not include shipping time and varies with HP Tuners' current controller-service workload.

ECMs with broken tabs or physical/internal damage will not be accepted for upgrade. Due to their factory mounting location, normal cosmetic wear and weathering may be present.
