HP Tuners GM T93 TCM Service (Global B)

HP Tuners’ one-time send-in upgrade service for the GM Global B T93 TCM used with the GM 10L80 10-speed transmission. This service is required to enable HP Tuners diagnostics and custom transmission tuning access through VCM Suite BETA on supported Global B applications.

This is a send-in service. The vehicle’s original T93 TCM must be removed and shipped to HP Tuners for upgrading. A spare TCM should not be temporarily installed and relearned while the original controller is away, as doing so can prevent the upgraded original TCM from functioning when returned.

What You Need

1. This one-time GM T93 TCM Service (Global B).
2. The latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite BETA.
3. 4 HP Tuners Universal Credits to license the upgraded T93 TCM. Credits are sold separately.
4. An HP Tuners MPVI3 or HP Tuners MPVI4 interface. MPVI2+ and older interfaces are not compatible with GM Global B T93 support.

Service Notes

• The original T93 TCM must return to the same vehicle it came from.
• The upgrade is performed without pre-programming the controller with a VIN.
• Once upgraded, users can calibrate, scan, and data log through the OBDII port using compatible HP Tuners hardware and VCM Suite BETA.
• Factory and dealer diagnostic tools continue to function normally after the upgrade.
• HP Tuners recommends reading and clearing DTCs with the latest VCM Scanner after reinstalling the upgraded TCM.
• No other tuning or calibration tools should be used with the upgraded TCM.
• Processing time does not include shipping time.

How It Works

Step 1: Confirm that your vehicle is supported and purchase this service.

Step 2: Download and complete the HP Tuners Controller Upgrade Service Shipping Form and place it inside the package.

Step 3: Remove the original T93 TCM and package it securely.

Step 4: Write your order number clearly on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship the TCM to HP Tuners using the carrier of your choice. Shipping to HP Tuners is the customer’s responsibility.

Step 6: HP Tuners upgrades the TCM for tuning and diagnostics and ships it back after service.

Step 7: Reinstall the upgraded T93 TCM, license it with 4 Universal Credits, read/clear DTCs, and begin tuning with an MPVI3 or MPVI4 and VCM Suite BETA.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending the controller to HP Tuners. Any return-shipping charge associated with the service covers shipment back after the controller has been upgraded.

Important

This service modifies the original vehicle controller. Controller services are performed at the owner’s risk, and the vehicle may in some cases require dealer-level resynchronization after service. If support is needed after the upgrade, contact HP Tuners support.
