HP Tuners Dodge PCM Services

Prepare a supported 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, or RAM PCM for custom tuning with HP Tuners VCM Suite. This PowerLabs listing offers HP Tuners' one-time send-in PCM upgrade service for supported applications.

2018+ models also require the HP Tuners Dodge 2018+ Smart Access Cable.

PCMs with broken locking tabs or connectors will not be accepted for upgrade.

PCM Upgrade Service

Send your original or compatible spare PCM to HP Tuners for a one-time upgrade that enables tuning in the latest version of VCM Suite BETA. The upgrade does not prevent factory service tools from functioning normally.

When ordering, provide the vehicle make/model, VIN, and the required stock HPT or RTD file where applicable. If sending a spare or non-original PCM, HP Tuners requires a stock read from the vehicle's original PCM.

What You Need

1. This PCM upgrade service.
2. For 2018+ Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles, the HP Tuners Dodge 2018+ Smart Access Cable.
3. The latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite BETA.
4. The required HP Tuners Universal Credits for your application. Credits are sold separately.
5. A compatible HP Tuners MPVI interface. All generations of MPVI devices are supported for the applications covered by this service; the current-generation HP Tuners MPVI4 is available here.

Service Notes

• This service applies to supported 2015+ Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles, excluding the 2015+ Dodge Viper and 2014–2019 Jeep/Dodge/RAM applications using the EDC17C79 PCM.
• EDC17C79 PCMs used in 2014–2019 applications do not require this upgrade service; HP Tuners enables read/write support during the first read.
• Send only the PCM. Do not include brackets, rubber isolators, or other hardware.
• The back cover of the PCM is removed during servicing, although the upgrade does not involve a hardware replacement.
• Gen 3 EcoDiesel PCMs cannot be read before upgrade. Spare or non-original PCMs may require additional programming to the vehicle.
• Processing time does not include shipping and varies with HP Tuners' current controller-service workload.

Customers are responsible for inbound shipping to HP Tuners. The shipping charge associated with the service covers return shipment after the controller has been upgraded. Hardware ordered with the service may ship with the upgraded controller, so order time-sensitive hardware separately.

Important

Controller services are performed at the owner's risk. Normal signs of weathering and wear may be present due to the PCM's factory mounting location.
